GitHub
Connect GitHub repositories to browse and sync files, issues, and discussions.
Authentication
GitHub uses standard OAuth 2.0. You will be redirected to GitHub to authorize access. GitHub OAuth tokens do not expire — you only need to reconnect if you revoke access on GitHub.
Supported Content
| Content Type | What Is Synced |
|---|---|
| Files | Any supported file type (PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD, HTML, etc.) |
| Issues | Title + body + all comments merged into one document |
| Discussions | Title + body + all replies merged into one document |
Setup
- Navigate to Sources and click Add Source
- Under Knowledge Base Connectors, select GitHub
- Click Connect — GitHub's OAuth authorization page will open
- Authorize the requested permissions
- You will be redirected back to Sources with GitHub connected
Browsing
After connecting, each GitHub source shows all repositories you have access to.
Within each repository, three virtual folders are available:
- Files — Browse the file tree. Only supported file types are shown.
- Issues — Open issues (excluding pull requests).
- Discussions — Repository discussions (if enabled).
Notes
- Only open issues are listed. Closed issues and PRs are excluded.
- Discussions require the Discussions feature to be enabled in the repository.
- Private repositories are accessible if the authenticated user has read access.
- Files are filtered to supported types. Binary files, images, and lock files are excluded.
- GitHub wiki pages are not currently supported — GitHub has no official API for wiki content access.
