Folder Monitoring
Folder monitoring enables automatic detection and syncing of new documents from your connected sources. Instead of manually syncing each time you add files, monitors continuously watch specific folders and automatically sync new content to your vector store.
What is Folder Monitoring?
Folder monitoring is an automated syncing feature that:
- Watches specific folders in your connected sources (Google Drive, S3, Supabase Storage)
- Detects new files automatically using a polling-based approach
- Creates pending documents for newly discovered files
- Syncs content to your vector store without manual intervention
This is similar to how automation platforms like n8n or Zapier watch for changes—simple, reliable, and requires no special configuration on your storage providers.
